Quantum Things
We are inundated with the hype around quantum today and we hope the quantum community agrees with us that there is an urgent need for a platform like OneQuantum—a place where we come together to separate the hype from reality—to direct each other towards what's practical and immediately valuable about quantum tech and how we can encourage our clients to get started today and derive tangible benefits tomorrow
I can’t wait for Denise to unpack this. Join us for the weekly community call this week and be part of the conversation. Let me know if you are a member and haven’t received an invitation. If you are not yet a member, sign up today.
This past week we had an interesting debate on the state of the quantum tech industry in the OneQuantum community initiated by Salman. My main takeaway is that it depends on where you stand as a business. Your story and your traction matter more than ever before. As a startup founder, know your blindsides or circle of competency so that you can build a solid team. Remember that even the best idea needs the right structure to turn it into a viable business. Further, when you engage clients Denise has some wise words for you; ‘….avoid the argument that quantum computing will be useful in 5 years, we have been saying that for 5 years, and with the advancements by Honeywell and others, we will see examples of quantum supremacy much earlier i.e. in the next 1-2 years.” We would love to know what you are learning too.
OneQuantum News
Amid all the challenges 2020 has brought us, panicking is transforming into pivoting.
Here are five tips for successfully leaning into the pivot as shared by Andre:
Early on, we got a number of requests from members on Quantum Computing cloud services and we have put together a list that members can access here in the community resources. Let us know if we missed anything.
Not only Friday's are for cocktails. We will end every day of our Women in Quantum Summit with a cocktail hour where all attendees get matched with others for a 3-minute one-on-one video chat directly on the conference app.
RSVP for freeWe still have some major hurdles to overcome in terms of getting to quantum advantage but a lot of progress is being made fast. Here is why I believe in all of us thanks to Zapata.
