The Women in Quantum Summit is Dec 14-16, please register now!
It's FREE, virtual and everyone is welcome!
Next week our Women in Quantum (WIQ) chapter is hosting the Women in Quantum Summit III - learn about careers at IonQ, how to deal with imposters at work, transformational leadership tips from the IT Woman of the Year, and how a 15 yrs old founded a high school quantum club. It starts Dec 14-16 and is a free and virtual event open to everyone. There are just a few hours of talks every day to make it easy to fit into your busy holiday schedules. We encourage you to come and go as you please.
At the end of the talks each day, there is a networking event where the event software matches you to other participants for short 5 minute one on one meetings which is a great way to make important connections.
In case some of you wonder why Women in Quantum was established in the first place, check out results from a recent survey carried out by Interference Advisors (find more QIS data here).
"I was attending an IBM event several years ago and realized I was the only woman there. IBM believes diversity is important, so afterward, it gave me a mission to actively recruit more women. Later, I also noticed that leadership photos on many company websites were only men. That bothered me, so I decided to do something about it." Denise Ruffner, Founder of Women in Quantum.
"I believe that it is vital to democratize Quantum Tech and make it accessible to anyone - no matter their age, gender, ethnicity, education, or otherwise." André König, Founder of OneQuantum.
We need your support to bring more women into quantum tech leadership.
You can read more about this event and other WIQ developments here and you’d be interested in seeing that Women in Quantum made Forbes magazine!
If you still don't believe that we need to support women in #quantum, well then read on.
See you next week at the summit!
